Rolf Lyssy

Rolf Lyssy counts with his impressive oeuvre from feature films and documentaries on the outstanding filmmakers of the Switzerland.
After her apprenticeship as a photographer, Lyssy turned to film and acted in 1966 on the documentation URSULA OR THE UNVALUED LIFE of Reni Mertens and Walter Marti as cameraman and editor. He caused an international sensation in 1975 with KONFRONTATION, the Story about the assassination of the Jewish student David Frankfurter on the high-ranking Nazi Wilhelm Gustloff in Davos. With his masterpiece DIE SCHWEIZERMACHER he created in 1978 the still most successful Swiss film. Further great  successes with dialect comedies followed like KASSETTENLIEBE (1981), TEDDY BÄR (1983) and LEO SONNYBOY (1989).
His latest comedy, EDEN FÜR JEDEN, will celebrate its world premiere at ZFF.

Ray Parker Jr.

Ray Erskine Parker Jr. (born May 1, 1954) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. As a solo performer, he wrote and performed the theme song to the 1984 movie Ghostbusters. He also performed with his band, Raydio, and with Barry White.

Stephen Warbeck

After eight years of working as a composer and performer for the theatre, Stephen began writing music for film and television and has since built up a considerable filmography. Film scores include DNA, The Man in the Hat (which he also co-directed and co-wrote) The Children Act, Hampstead, The Time of Their Lives, Making Noise Quietly, India in a Day, Le Secret de Banquises, Mon Roi (for which he was nominated for a César Award), Seve, Polisse, Proof, Mrs Brown, Two Brothers, Mystery Men, Quills, Billy Elliott, Captain Corelli¹s Mandolin, Charlotte Gray, Birthday Girl and Shakespeare in Love, for which he won an Academy Award.

Stephen has written music for more than 40 television projects, received five BAFTA nominations and in 2013 a BAFTA Award for his work on Richard Eyre¹s Henry IV, parts 1 & 2. Other recent television projects include Richard Eyre's King Lear, two series of Indian Summers, Fungus the Bogeyman and the first two series of A Young Doctor's Notebook.

Diego Baldenweg

Diego Baldenweg (CH/AUS), film music composer, producer, publisher and co-founder of GREAT GARBO.

Baldenweg is a member of the European, Swiss and Australian film academies, the Swiss Media Composers Association, the Australian Guild of Screen Composers and the World Soundtrack Academy.

Lionel Baldenweg

Marco Biscarini

Marco Biscarini is an Italian composer who was born in 1965 in Bologna, Italy. In 1990 he made his degree in Musicology and from 1993 to 1995 he studied Music for Film under Ennio Morricone at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
His soundtrack for “Il Vento fa il suo giro” won the first prize at the Lagonero’s contest “Music for film” in 2007. The soundtrack for “L’uomo che verrà” was awarded with the “Ennio Morricone Award”, also as the Best Soundtrack at the “Bari Film-Fest” and made it into the finals of the “David di Donatello” 2010.

Fanny Bräuning

Born in 1975 in Basel, Switzerland. 1996-2001 Attends ZHdK (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste), Film and Video Department. 2001 Receives degree from ZHdK.  Since 2001 independent Director and Producer. Lives in Berlin and Basel.

Her first feature-length documentary NO MORE SMOKE SIGNALS (2008) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival - Semaine de la Critique and received the Swiss Film Award «Quartz» for Best Documentary in 2009, among many other awards. Her documentary  IMMER UND EWIG (int. title: The Journey) premiered at DOK Leipzig and won the swiss film award «Quartz» 2020 for Best Documentary as well as Best Filmmusic and a nomination for Best Camera. Member of the  Swiss and the European Film Academy.

Alexander Brunner

Alexander E. Brunner (*1974) has a master in business administration of the University of St. Gallen HSG. He worked for many years in the financial industry, where he developed alternative investment products. Alexander is the Chief Commercial Officer of the Zug-based big data music technology company Utopia Music, responsible for client relationships. Alexander is also a member of the Zurich parliament and the founder of Urban Innovation Association that connects smart city startups with politicians. Additionally, he wrote a book called Crypto Nation Switzerland about the Swiss Crypto Valley. 

Jérôme Brunner

Jérôme Brunner has been head of the SRF Music Consultancy for three years. His five-member team supports SRG journalists in selecting music to accompany TV, radio and online reports. The music advisory service is also the point of contact for collaboration with composers and music labels. The team also maintains and is responsible for the internal music database "SRF Musikberatung - Geräusch-Datenbank".

Besides music, film is Jérôme Brunner's second great passion. In 2004 he founded one of the first film blogs in Switzerland and has been a film blogger from the very beginning. Since 2014 he has also been a member of the SVFJ (Swiss Association of Film Journalists). For 6.5 years, Jérôme was responsible for the film coverage of SRF Virus and also worked as a film critic for SRF 3 and SRF Kultur.

Robin Coudert

Robin Coudert alias Rob studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
He worked with Sebastien Tellier and Phoenix on different projects at the beginning of the 2000s. In 2005, he composed his first original score to the short film Pink Cowboy Boots, and produces several artists such as Melissa Mars (2005), Zaza Fournier (2008), Alizée, Adanowski (2010) or Leon Larregui (2011) - n°1 in Mexico.

He started to work more for the film industry, and developed a strong collaboration with director Rebecca Zlotowski (Belle Epine, Planétarium). He is especially known for his work on horror movies such as Frank Khalfoun's Maniac, and Alexandre Aja's Horns. He is also well known for his score to acclaimed French tv-series Le Bureau des Légendes (The Bureau).
Rob recently scored the music to Mounia Meddour's drama Papicha, which was selected at Cannes 'Un Certain Regard'.
Next to his work as a composer, Rob is also a producer and created Hippocampus Studio with producer Jack Lahana.

Dascha Dauenhauer

Dascha Dauenhauer began playing the piano at the age of five, which was soon followed by piano and composition lessons. A large variety of own works was created. Her orchestral piece "Sinfonietta“ was premiered at the Philharmonie Berlin in 2004. After her study in piano and music theory (UdK), she completed her Master of Film Music at the Filmuniversity KONRAD WOLF. Since then she has worked on numerous cinema productions. Her films are shown internationally at many established film festivals. Furthermore she has been nominated three times for the German Film Music Award in 2018 and won in the categories “Best Music in a Short Film” and “New Talent”. In 2020, she won the German Film Academy Award in the category Best Original Music Score for BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ.

Valerie Dobbelaere

Valerie Dobbelaere studied Iberian linguistics & literature as well as Peace Studies and ConflictResolution at the Ghent University in Belgium. In 2007 Valerie started working at the guest office of Film Fest Gent, where she, between 2010 and 2019,coordinates the music and sound projects (concert productions, masterclasses, compositioncontest, the annual World Soundtrack Awards, album recording, industry events, internationalcollaborations,..)and loves establishing the necessary platform to both established and young & upcoming film (music) talent. Valerie has worked with several renowned composers such as Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Elliot Goldenthal, James Newton Howard, Alberto Iglesias, Giorgio Moroder and Alexandre Desplat. Since 2017 Valerie joined Post Bills, a Brussels-based Press & Communication Agency, specializing in PR for film, TV & film music projects.

Yati Durant

Yati Durant is a U.S. born composer, lecturer, trumpeter and conductor. His musical background began with composition and jazz music from the age of 7. He was a founding member of the experimental jazz ensemble Honey Junkie and The Yati Durant Project Band in the 1990s. He studied with Portland trumpeter (and Grammy winner) Thara Memory before moving to New York, where he began a successful stint as a TV and film music composer. Yati holds a Diploma and prestigious Konzertexam Meisterklasse in composition from the Polish composer Krzysztof Meyer at the State Conservatory of Music in Cologne, Germany, as well as a Diploma in Electronic Composition under Hans Ulrich Humpert. He has also studied with George Crumb, Philip Lasser, Narcis Bonet, Lee Konitz and conducting with Jonathan Brett. From 2010 - 2019 Yati was a Lecturer and Programme Director of the MSc Composition for Screen Programme at the University of Edinburgh. His compositions and films have received many prizes from International festivals, including a 3rd Pl. Panorama Public Prize at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival for Erika Rabau – Der Puck von Berlin and a BAFA National Commerce Film Award nomination for the WDR/ARD documentary Ein Klavier geht um die Welt. He is a finalist of the 2009 Concorso Giovani Musicisti Europei in Aosta, Italy with his score to C. Chaplin’s The Vagabond. His contemporary compositions have been commissioned and performed in New York, Seattle, Berlin, Edinburgh, Cologne and Sao Paolo, released on CD and DVD by Film Dienst/Normal Records, Filmmuseum München and he remains an active performer of jazz, with regular appearances and recordings throughout Europe and USA. His TV and Film credits include work for WDR, ARD, HBO, MTV, Disney and many others.

Anne-Françoise Emery

Anne-Françoise Emery, Head of the Film Department, has been at SUISA for over 20 years. The Film Department is responsible for all areas of audiovisual production throughout Switzerland, from feature films for cinema or television to documentaries, industrial films and commercials. It is SUISA's only department that covers the entire workflow from collection to distribution of copyright royalties.

Michael Ettl

Michael Ettl (Mike) is CIO of SONOTON Music, Munich. He began writing programs in the late 1980s for his parent’s retail shop. Mike was always fascinated by web technology and developed one of the first browser-based production planning system already in 1995. In 2000 he started building software for the production music business and moved to SONOTON Music in 2012.

Mike specialized in music search engines, metadata processing and API development. During the last years, he has worked on international projects with many partners from the music industry.

Milena Fessmann

Milena Fessmann has been running RBB since 1998, in addition to her many years as a DJ in various clubs and as a presenter on Radio Eins. She has been modering events, panels, press conferences etc. such as "Reeperbahnfestival, c/o Pop and SoundTrack_Cologne since 2014, is a graduate political scientist and gives seminars on the topic of "music supervising" at the DFFB. She is Advisory Board Member of the World Soundtrack Academy and member of the European Film Academy.

Adina Friis

Adina Friis (*1988) is a jazz pianist, singer, songwriter and composer for film and theatre. She studied jazz piano, singing and composition in Lucerne, Zurich and Copenhagen.

Her main musical project is the jazz trio "Luumu", with which she transforms her most personal thoughts and ideas into art. Since 2010 she has been playing concerts in Switzerland and abroad. Since 2015 she has been writing the music for various theatres and from 2017-2019 she was responsible for the musical design of the "Berner Reden" at the Konzerttheater Bern.

Now, for the first time, she has the opportunity to demonstrate her skills as a film composer for the film "Eden for Everyone" directed by Rolf Lyssy.

John Gürtler

John Gürtler (*1981) is a multiple award-winning film composer currently based in Berlin. He has written over 40 film scores and produces electronic music, songs and orchestral work and has won several awards, including ‘Best Song in a Film’ at the 2014 German Film Music Awards for ‘What Love Is’, the ‘German Documentary Award’ for ‘Above and Below’ at DOK.fest München in 2015 and the ‘European Original Score 2019’ for ‘System Crasher', presented by the European Film Academy.

Martin Häne

Martin Haene is a Publisher of several music library labels including Nuvotone, consisting of 3 labels and distributed globally by market leader Universal / UPPM, and Catapult, distributed individually per territory.

Before becoming a music publisher, Martin Häne worked for 10+ years as composer for all major and various independent production music companies.

His credits as a composer include "Fack ju Göhte 2", "Melrose Place", "Bring it on" (Universal), various Lion's Gate Films (Warrior, Frankenhood) as well as Commercials and TV Series on networks such as ABC, NBC, CW TV, among others.

As a Publisher, his mission is simple: To offer high-quality production music for the media industry, ranging from labels with traditional genres to catalogs with unique boutique-made sounds.

Mounir Hathout

Mounir Hathout was born in Kortrijk, Belgium.

His Moroccan roots and Belgian upbringing blended into an equally diverse musical taste from early on, influencing his professional life to this day. Mounir is best known for Belgian productions such as De Dag (music by David Martijn), Undercover 1 & 2 (music by Steve Willaert, Hans Mullens & Floris De Decker, now on Eén and Netflix) and Albatros (music by Lennert Coorevits & Pieter Van Dessel, now on Telenet Play) and for international productions such as War of the Worlds (music by David Martijn, now on Fox and Canal+) and Grenslanders (Floodland, music by Bert Libeert & Colin H. van Eeckhout).

As a deejay, Mounir is all about creating the right atmosphere for his audience.

Karin Heberlein

Karin Heberlein trained as an actress at Central School of Speech & Drama in London. She worked for various theatres in the UK, co-wrote and performed with a number of ensembles, and toured festivals across the globe. Her focus shifted to film after attending the Master Class programme at the NFTS/Met Film School. In 2013 she received a scholarship for the Drehbuchwerkstatt München at the HFF. Since then she has worked as a writer and director. SAMI, JOE AND I, her first feature film, is playing at the ZFF.

Vasco Hexel

Vasco Hexel is a media composer, author and educator, who composed music for award-winning animations, documentaries, commercials and feature films. For nearly 12 years, until early 2020, he ran the Masters Programme in Composition for Screen at the Royal College for Music. Vasco has composed music for award-winning animations, documentaries, commercials and feature films.

Vasco is the author of “The Film and Media Creators’ Guide to Music” (New York: Routledge, 2018) and “Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard’s The Dark Knight – A Film Score Guide” (Lanham, MD: Rowman & Littlefield, 2016). He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the Royal Television Society (RTS) and the British Academy for Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

Pascal Hofmann

Pascal Hofmann is a Swiss author and director who was born in Grisons in 1977. After finishing his diploma as draftsman, he studied film direction at the Zurich University of Arts. He has been a self-employed filmmaker since 2016. His master diploma film “Daniel Schmid – Le chat qui pense” premiered at the Berlinale in 2010 and was shown at numerous festivals, including Chicago International Film Festival, Pusan International Film Festival PIFF, International Film Festival, Montréal Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Dok.Fest Munich.
For his latest film “NOT ME – A Journey with NOT VITAL” (2020) he was not only author and director but also co-editor.

Cornelia Köhler

Cornelia Köhler has been working in the media industry since 2000, first as a producer of the sitcoms "Das Amt" and "Bernds Hexe" for Cologne-Gemini film, later in the script development for Constantin Entertainment. Since 2007 Cornelia Köhler has been an independent script-writer for cinema, TV formats and stage. Together with the composer Camille van Lunen she wrote the youth operas “Talitha, come back!” and „Over the Wall“ in 2020. She is editor of the magazine “Rundbrief” (Film-und Medienbüro Niedersachsen) and director and scriptwriter for a series of documentaries about German Literature, worked among others as dramaturge for the feature films “Low Lights” (produced by dagstarfilm, 2009), “Pattys Catchup” (dagstarfilm, 2011) and as co-writer for the German-Lithuanian documentary “Liebe Oma, Guten Tag” (dagstarfilm, 2017, supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.) Since 2009 she has been a member of Women in Film and Television Germany and since 2010 she has been a board member of WIFT Germany. Michael Künstle

Golden Eye Award winning Michael Künstle is a Swiss-Polish composer / songwriter / arranger: a crossover artist with a keen desire to push the boundaries of musical genres. His joy in collaborative work, sense of visual storytelling and friendly character makes him a frequent collaborator in film, pop and concert music. His music ranges from electronic pieces to symphonic scores, „with a high degree of dramaturgical realisation, a clear attitude and a sensitive and thematically expressive voice“ (David Zinman and Henning Lohner on „Evermore“). His work for Film and Television includes „Aus dem Schatten“ (Marcel Gisler) and „Jagdzeit“ (Sabine Boss), which was recorded at the AIR Studions with members of the London Symphony Orchestra and conductor Anthony Weeden (Jóhann Jóhannsson, Mica Levi).

Luca Leprotti

Sound Designer, Producer, Mixing Engineer. His studies include a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Film Music Composition at Conservatorio “F. Venezze” - Rovigo, Italy - and masterclasses with professionals such as Tommy Vicari, Norman Ludwin and Italian mastering engineer Nicola Fantozzi.  He is also a certified Pro Tools, Waves and Logic X user.

His works range from feature films to documentaries, broadcast commercials, concerts and albums. In 2019 he sound-designed Giorgio Diritti’s Hidden Away, which recently won a Silver Bear for Best Actor at Berlinale 2020 and is due for international release this fall. He’s also sound editor, sound designer and re-recording mixer on Mario Piredda’s  debut L’Agnello (The Lamb), which is receiving enthusiastic reviews in Italy.

His experience as musician and engineer includes an ongoing collaboration with composers Marco Biscarini, Daniele Furlati, and producer Mauro Malavasi (Andrea Bocelli, Lucio Dalla). He also collaborated with Cineteca di Bologna and Fondazione Cantiere, performing live during the Cinema Ritrovato and Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano festivals.

He’s currently teaching Live Electronics and Sound for Multimedia at Conservatorio “F. Venezze” - Rovigo, Italy.

Hanna Sophie Lüke

Hanna Sophie Lüke is a music journalist, presenter and musician/composer. She completed her master's degree "Music Journalism for Broadcasting and Multimedia" with distinction in 2013. Since then she has been working as a music journalist for editorial offices of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne (1LIVE, WDR 2, WDR 3, WDR 4, WDR Funkhausorchester), and can be heard regularly on the radio.

She has been working as a composer and singer-songwriter with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg since 2018. She is co-founder of the female composer collective "track 15 - female composers collective" (2018). In 2019 the first joint releases “Neoclassical “Score” at Universal PM & “Live Strings – The Women’s Collective” at Sonoton Production Music with her own compositions followed with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra.

Rens Machielse

Rens Machielse is the former director of HKU Music and Technology, one of the schools of HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. He lectured film music at a.o. the Film Academy Amsterdam, the Film Academy Baden Württemberg, Summerschool Utrecht, MediaSound Hamburg, the Reid School of Music University of Edinburgh and he was a member of the editorial board of The New Soundtrack, a magazine on the relationship between sound and moving images. Rens composed music for over three hundred theatre plays and audiovisuals such as TV series, feature films, documentaries, commercials and animations. He was awarded for his music several times during his career by BumaStemra and at the New York Festivals. Rens is chairing the board of Gaudeamus Muziekweek and a board member of Music Institute MultiMedia. In 2020, his book The Sound Track was published in Dutch and English and he scored the soundtrack for the animation movie SEE ME.
Rens is currently co-producing a monthly online talkshow & magazine about music for media. He is preparing an extensive online publication about art and design education in close collaboration with his former colleague Jan IJzermans.

Thomas Mikusz

Originally from Vienna, Thomas Mikusz lives in Los Angeles. In 2011 Thomas started and co-founded White Bear PR, a Public Relations Company, specializing in Composers, Music Supervisors, International Film & Music Festivals, and Event Management & Production.

Last year he spearheaded the Award campaigns for Hildur Gudnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl), successfully resulting in well curated media coverage & storytelling and an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Grammy, 2 BAFTA's, and an Emmy for Hildur. Over the past decade he worked on a multitude of Award-winning projects and has represented clients at major Film Festivals, such as Berlinale, Festival de Cannes, Sundance, Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival.

He part of the leadership for The Alliance for Women Film Composers and a member of the TV Academy and the World Soundtrack Academy.

Jan Miserre

Jan Miserre (*1981) grew up in Erlangen, Bavaria as the son of a Jazz saxophone player and therefore was introduced to various kinds of music such as Debussy, Coltrane and the Beatles at an early age. Since his Studies of Jazz-Piano at the University of Arts in Berlin he has toured almost every continent with many bands as sideman and musical director. The last years he worked much on Composing and Producing for cross-genre projects, which were released several times. In 2013 he won the GEMA Musikautorenpreis in the category New Talent together with Torsten Goods and the second prize at the Instant Composing Contest at the Filmfestival Transatlantyk.

Pascal Münger

Pascal Münger is co-owner of Mojo 3, a federal marketing expert and musician. Mojo 3 is a Swiss full-service music agency that composes and produces its music for advertising and film in its own studios in Zurich, Bern and Berlin. At the same time, Mojo 3 has so far supervised well over 100 film, TV and advertising projects as music supervisor. These include major cinema successes such as Wolkenbruch and Platzspitzbaby, where Mojo 3 also helped to develop the music concept and was responsible for the production of the title songs and other pieces. The in-house, international one-stop-sync-catalogue contains songs from various genres and the last nine decades.

Matteo Pagamici

Matteo Pagamici is a Swiss musician and film composer. In 2014 he received a nomination for the Golden Eye "Best International Film Music" at the Zurich Film Festival. He is also a Berlinale Talent Alumnus.
His most recent works include PLATZSPITZBABY (director: Pierre Monnard), the theatre play KIDS OF NO NATION (director: Dominik Locher) and the upcoming SRF series NEUMATT (director: Pierre Monnard and Sabine Boss).

Horea Pascu

Horea Pascu is a music publisher, music supervisor, composer, and founder of Blue Island Music, one of Romania’s leading music publishing companies.

He has been in the music business for more than 20 years, starting out as a composer. He produced music for top Romanian pop artists and scored dozens of TV adverts before turning to music supervision and music publishing.

Horea holds a degree in Sound Engineering and Video Editing in Romania’s Film University (UNATC). Being very involved into the international music industry, he was elected in 2018 as a member of the board in the Production Music Committee within ICMP (The International Confederations of Music Publishers).

Olivia Pedroli

Olivia Pedroli is a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Switzerland. She has released four studio albums, which have enabled her to explore different musical directions, tour extensively and collaborate with international artists, thereby defining a very personal style. She has also written scores for cinema and the theatre and has created several audiovisual installations.

She was nominated in 2012 at the Swiss Film Award for her work on the documentary film Hiver Nomade (Winter Nomads) by Manuel Von Sturler (European Film Academy, Documentary film 2012). She also composed the soundtrack of Immer und Ewig (The Journey – a story of love) by Fanny Braüning (Prix de Soleure 2019, Zürcher Filmpreis 2019, Swiss Film Award 2020). Olivia Pedroli was nominated for the German Documentary Film Music Award at the DOK of Münich 2019 and won the Swiss Film Award 2020, Best Music Score.

Tina Pepper

Tina Pepper is an award-winning television and film composer based in Berlin. She started her career while studying music at the renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and went on studying at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF where she eventually graduated with a Master in film music.
Amongst others she has since written music for award winning films like ‘Combat Girl’ (David Wnendt) and ‘Teardrop’ (Damian John Harper), independent features such as ‘Away you go’ (Philipp Eichholtz) and for the Amazon original series ‘You Are Wanted’ (Matthias Schweighöfer). In 2020 she was awarded the German Television Award for Best Music for her score for the German TV Series 'Rampensau’.

Corinna C. Poeszus

Corinna C. Nicolas Rabaeus

Nicolas was born in Geneva in 1984. He studied jazz music in Paris (IMEP) and classical music in Geneva (HEM). He's been working as a composer for more than fifteen years, specialising in music for the moving image. Known for his versatility and his fast working pace, he has collaborated with many European and Swiss filmmakers, for more than fifty projects, ranging from short movies to feature films, animation to documentaries, and three full series. He's recently been appointed to teach "Music in Cinema" at the HEM.

Niki Reiser

Niki Reiser is one of the most outstanding film composers in the German-speaking world. He realised his first film DU MICH AUCH in 1986 together with director Dani Levy, for whose films he has written all the music to this day. Besides working with Levy, he also composed music for the director Caroline Link, among others. With the film music for her first film JENSEITS DER STILLE (1996) he made his real breakthrough with the German Film Prize and an Oscar nomination for the best foreign film. Reiser also wrote the music for the film "Nowhere in Africa", which won the Oscar for best foreign film in 2002. He also received 5 German and 2 Bavarian film prizes, as well as 3 film prizes from the SUISA Foundation and the prestigious Rheingau Music Prize 2005.

Janne Spijkervet

Janne Spijkervet, MSc. is a composer and artificial intelligence researcher who explores the notion of creativity with self-learning algorithms. At the age of 14 she studied classical- and jazz composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the HKU University of Arts Utrecht with honors, interned at Hans Zimmer's studios in Los Angeles, and developed a system that learned to write music like Bach in her thesis. In 2020, she earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Amsterdam where she conducted research about how algorithms learn in an unsupervised manner: without humans that explicitly tell a computer something about the world it perceives. She has worked with artists to create songs using artificial intelligence and has performed on radio and television shows explaining the wide range of possibilities and impact of the creative use of A.I. Her team achieved the second place in the first A.I. Song Contest, which was the first Eurovision Song Contest with songs composed by A.I. algorithms.

Marcel Vaid

Born in 1967. He works as an independent musician and composer for film and theatre. Studied guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Zurich. Composition and production of filmmusic for over 80 feature films. Head of the electro-acoustic experimental collective «Superterz», numberous Tours in Japan and Europe. For his work he has received a.o. the Swiss Film Prize 'Quartz' four times ('Zara' 2009, 'Goodnight Nobody' 2011, 'When the Sun fell' 2016 and 'Chris the Swiss' 2019), the 'Prix Fondation Suisa' ('Tandoori Love' 2009), the prize for 'Best Film Score' at the Filmfestival Angers ('Joshua' 2003) and Valencia ('Where is Max' 2009). In 2012 he received the 'Zurich City Award' ('Werkjahr der Stadt Zurich') for his work. Marcel Vaid is a guest lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts and a member of the Swiss and European Film Academies. He lives with his family in Zurich.

Ama Walton

Ama Walton is a media lawyer, business mediator and speaker. She is an established expert in the entertainment industry with a focus on music and film law as well as cooperative negotiation and conflict resolution. For the last three years she was in the board of BMG Rights Management GmbH as their global General Counsel and CHRO. Prior to BMG she was managing director of the music companies of Constantin Film AG and before that in the management team of EMI Music Germany GmbH & Co. KG as their leading lawyer.

Irène Philipp Ziebold

Irène Philipp Ziebold is Chief Operations Officer at SUISA and a member of the Executive Committee. She joined SUISA in 1988 and headed the Performance and Broadcasting Rights Department before joining the Executive Committee in 2010. The "Operations" department brings together SUISA's customer and member services and thus the core process from royalty income to distribution.

Jürg Ziebold

As Chief Information Officer, Jürg Ziebold is responsible for SUISA's IT department. Since the advent of online use of music and audiovisual works in particular, SUISA has invested heavily in the development of its IT. This has enabled, among other things, the establishment of the Mint Digital Services joint venture with its US partner SESAC. Mint offers music publishers and collecting societies worldwide services for the billing of online music use. Jürg Ziebold has been at SUISA for 28 years.

Michael Sauter aka. DJ Air Afrique

Born 1976, in Biel-Bienne (CH), he lives and works as a musician and composer in Zurich. Since 1999, he works together with the collective 400ASA and he composed for municipal playhouses, a.o. the Schauspielhaus Zurich, Lucerne and Bochum (Germany), Theater Basel and Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin. He made compositions to a number of ballet productions (a.o. for introdans, Arnhem, NL, Tanzhaus Zürich, Gessnerallee Zürich).
Since 2004 has been composing original music for feature films as for example: "Strähl" (2004), "Im Sog nach Nacht" (2009), "Mary & Johnny“ (2011) winner SUISA Filmmusic Award in Locarno, "One Way Trip 3D" (2011).“Der Teufel von Mailand“ (2012), „Der Polder“ (2015), „Kleine Prinzen“ Tatort (2016), „Private Banking (2018), „Lovecut“ (2020).
Besides this he releases, his own Music projects through his label Air Afrique Records and plays drum in the Band „Dirty Slips“ from Zurich.

Robert Jan Meyer aka DJ Minus 8

Robert Jan Meyer, also known as Minus 8, is a producer and disc jockey. He has released 7 albums with various labels including Sony, Universal Music, Compost Records and others. His own tracks appeared on over 100 compilations as „Cafe Del Mar“, „Hotel Costes“ or „Fashion Week“. His passion for movies has led him to compose music for many films, short films, spots and trailers. Of note, Apple Inc. used a Minus 8 track for the worldwide campaign of the Apple PowerBook.
